Natural Home made Bone Broth
Have any one told you the importance and benefits of a good home made bone broth? .Ok here is the WHY you need to make it and have it as often as possible. .As I have mention on previous posts, 70 to 80% of our immune system resides on our GUT! Bone broth is a digestive aid that helps support the gut, digestion, immunity, bone health and hormones. Wow a lot no?
Some Benefits: High on minerals such us: calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphor ideal for strong bones. Ideal for repairing our Gut lining. Aids with inflammation as it contains huge amount of amino-acids. Supports our immune system. Great for hair and nails.
Recipe: Bone broth (from organic and pasture-raised cows or chickens) ,You can use a whole chicken or aprox 1 kg of just bones, same with meat. Ingredients: 8/10 cups of purified water (do no use tap water as it contains a lot of unwanted minerals for this cooking process). 1 bay leaf 1 big onion or 2 medium size. 3 garlics 4 celery stalks 2 carrot piece (thumb size) of ginger piece (thumb size) of turmeric (you can always use powder) 3 tbsp. of Himalayan salt or sea salt. Optional herbs you can add: parsley - coriander KEY INGREDIENT: 3 tsp. of apple cider vinegar. (this helps to extract all the minerals from the bones).
Optionals: Chili - dry mushrooms - lemongrass - thyme - basil - cumin - coriander seeds - slices of lemon. Avoid: potatoes - sweet pot. -beets - any leafy greens (spinach, lettuce, rucola etc) cauliflower . and broccoli. Cook all together on low heat for at least 4 hours! You can always freeze half and take a cup before meals.
