SPIRULINA

By far this is my favorite superfood. It has so many beneficial properties.

I will try to summarize some for you.

  • Spirulina is the world’s highest natural vegetarian source of complete protein. (It’s known as spirulina or blue-green algae).

  • Spirulina provides a vast array of minerals, trace elements, and phytonutrients. 

  • This superfood can help to improve blood sugar control, this is because it contains phenylalanine, which acts on the brains appetite center to decrease hunger pangs, while also keeping blood sugar at the proper level.

  • Aids in weight loss as it has high levels of Iodine. This stimulates the thyroid gland, who is in charge of regulating our metabolism.

  • Spirulina aids and support a healthy cholesterol profile. AFA blue-green algae is a wild-grown superfood that contains blue pigmented phycocyanin, a powerful antioxidant. AFA blue-green algae may help to improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression. AFA blue-green algae may also be cardio-protective and help to reduce cholesterol.

Caution: People who has Hyperthyroid, should not take it. (always consult a doctor)

As it stimulates our nervous system, I suggest you take it before 4 pm.

  • Daily intake: start with a spoon (or a capsule) every day for a week, then increase to, 2 capsules a day. Preferably in the mornings.
