COFFEE

On my last post, I said that coffee its a YES and NO, at the same time.

Why is this? lets check below.

PROS:

Improves ENERGY levels: because it contains a stimulant called caffeine — the most commonly consumed psychoactive substance in the world.

Helps BURN FAT:  It’s one of the few natural substances proven to aid fat burning.

ASTHMA RELIEF Drinking a moderate amount of caffeine can be therapeutic for people with asthma

REDUCED MUSCLE PAIN: Some researchers have found that caffeine may potentially stimulate the release of B-endorphins and hormones that depress the sensation of pain and discomfort

PERFORMANCE: Some sources say caffeine allows athletes to exercise for longer without getting tired.

MOOD: At 250 milligrams, some report an improved sense of
well-being, happiness, energy, alertness, and sociability.

May low the risk of DIABETES TYPE 2: Several observational studies show that coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of type 2 diabetes..

CONS: (the Big 5)

STRESS Caffeine consumption in the early morning affects the body until bedtime, amplifying stress levels throughout the day.

GASTROINTESTINAL PROBLEMS: Because it’s a stimulant, caffeine can cause increased contractions of stomach muscles – possibly causing abdominal pain, diarrhea, and increased bowel movements.

AGING: Caffeine tolerance may decrease with age. Production of DHEA, melatonin, and other vital hormones decline with age.

CARDIOVASCULAR PROBLEMS Approximately four cups of coffee or an equal amount of caffeine can raise blood pressure for many hours

FEMALE HEALTH PROBLEMS: Fibrocystic breast disease, PMS, osteoporosis, infertility problems, miscarriage, low birth weight, and menopausal problems such as hot flashes are all exacerbated by caffeine consumption

NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES: Caffeine inhibits the absorption of some nutrients and causes the urinary excretion of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and trace minerals.

This last one is the reason why I DO NOT suggest you start with coffee first thing in the morning. Give yourself a nice start and wait for that coffee cup a little long (maybe after a healthy breakfast).
