HEALTHY SNACKS
This post is dedicated to all of you, who never know what snack to get or buy, and suddenly you end up going for a pack of chips, knowing is the worse decision, but.… And for a special friend from Argentina who ask me about it!
HEALTHY SNACK LIST:
I will list 3 of my favorites per category.
CREAMY:
smoothies: you can always prepare them in the morning and take them to work!avocados + brown or millet rice cakes (avoid the white ones!)
chia puddings: you soak overnight chia + milk of your choice, and then you can always take some fruit or nuts and seeds as a topping.
soups: ideal for cold weather
CRUNCHY:
apples
frozen grapes (love them!)
plain popcorn: use ghee or coconut oil + pinch salt + spices!
nuts
SWEET:
apples and peanut or almond butter (my absolutely favorite one)
dried fruit: avoid the ones that have added sugar like dried cranberries.
dates stuffed with sesame paste or any other nut butter.
SALTY:
olives
salted edamame (difficult to get here, shame!)
kale or beetroot, or sweet potatoes chips: cut them very thin, add some coconut oil, salt, pepper and any spices of your choice, then oven till they get crunchy!
hummus or guacamole home made with celery or carrots sticks.
Tips:
prepare everything the night before, so once up, just pack and go.
prepare a lot!! so you can even froze in portions if doing smoothies, and use the next day. Same if doing chips or popcorn (always pack them on a glass jar), hummus and dips you can keep them at least 3 days on the fridge.
best digest combo: fruit and nuts they complement perfectly and keeps you full longer.
ENJOY! let me know which one is your favorite one, of share if you have another yummy one.would you like to have or see how I make some of this recipes?
